Custom scaling is a text field in which you can create your own scale animation.
The animation is defined by lines containing keyframes. The format of each line is as follows:
frame_number x y x_scale y_scale [ tween_type ] "mills"
frame_number - the frame number of the animation. The first frame number must be zero.
The x and y values are the anchor point for the scaling operation. Scaled objects get bigger and smaller, centered at this anchor point. You can also think of it as the "origin for scaling".
The x_scale and y_scale factors are given in mills (1/1000). A factor of 1000 means a 1:1 scale. A negative scale factor mirrors the object.
tween_type is the algorithm used for the transition from the previous keyframe to the current one. It can be:

start is a synonym for linear. It is intended to be used for the first keyframe, since the tween type of the first keyframe is meaningless. More details can be found here. You can see examples of these effects at easings.net.
