Interactive mode

By default the Next/Prev/Play/Pause/Stop/Forward/Rewind buttons are not available in Java. To let Java receive these buttons, two things have to be done:

  1. Interactive mode has to be enabled for the Java title in the JAR settings.
  2. The required buttons have to be listed in the "Key Interest Table" of the Java title. All buttons listed in the "Key Interest Table" are ignored by the player and controlled by Java, so they lose their default actions on the entire disc. This means that if you assign Next/Prev in a playlist, Next/Prev will not work anywhere else on the disc unless you enable Project properties → "Menu" → "Actions" → "Restore default actions for Interactive mode" (enabled by default).

In interactive mode PSR 5 always returns 0xFFFF, which makes it difficult to obtain the number of the previous chapter. To work around this, the application remembers the number of the last chapter, but this does not work if you use resume or bookmarks. In that case we recommend enabling "Detect chapter number by time in interactive mode" in Project properties → Streams.

In interactive mode the timer on the player's panel does not show the time.
