Several JARs
Applies to the Standard Project type only.
The concept of a disc menu with several JARs:
- Each menu can be placed in one JAR only.
- A movie/playlist can be started from any JAR.
- When you need to navigate from one JAR to another, use the
"Select JAR title" action; you can pass data
between the JARs through the GPRs.
How to create a disc on which the Top Menu is disabled for the main menu:
- JAR 00001: contains the main menu, Top Menu call disabled;
- JAR 00002: contains the popup menu, Top Menu call enabled;
- Top Menu: points to JAR 00001, action: Jump MENU ...
An example that illustrates this concept is "5. Multi JAR.bdmd" in
Simple.zip:
- JAR 00000 is the First Play JAR (the first JAR in the list is the First Play one). It starts the intro
(in its JAR startup action) and navigates to JAR 00001 in the End action.
- When JAR 00001 starts, it jumps to the menu Main (in its JAR startup action),
so the menu Main has to be in JAR 00001.
- The popup menu is in JAR 00002, so you have to navigate to JAR 00002 in order to play a movie.
"Main Scenes" shows how GPR[0] is used for this: 1 stands for chapter 1, 2 for chapter 2 and so on.
The startup action of JAR 00002 contains a SWITCH: if GPR(0) = 1 → Movie: Movie [1], ...
To keep the selected audio/subtitles/chapter and the resume points in sync, set
Project properties → General → Disc settings to
"Restore on disc load".
