Setting actions for buttons

Press left/right/up/down - here you can specify the actions that are performed when the user presses left/right/up/down on the remote control. NOTE: if you specify an action for a directional remote control button that does not navigate to another button, menu or movie, you should add an extra action that selects this button again.

Press ENTER - the action that is performed when the user presses the Enter (OK) button on the remote control.

anim left/right/up/down/enter/on select - the animation that is played before the corresponding action (see the description of standard/between/before below).

AUTO button - if this is checked, the button automatically executes its "Press ENTER" action when it is selected. It is also executed when you jump from another menu and select this button (not as the Default one).

On select - the action executed when the button is selected. This event overlaps with the auto-button action, so do not use the auto-button and on-select features at the same time.

On the right-hand side of the action line there is a drop-down list with the execution modes: standard / between / before. By default, when you press a directional or OK (Enter) button on the remote control, the sequence is as follows: show the Activated state (if any) → play the animation (if any) → execute the action → update the Current state. This is the standard sequence. For some actions, however, it may be necessary to update the current state before the animation. In this case you have to use one of the other two modes, "between" and "before":

The "between" and "before" modes affect the following types of actions: set audio, set subtitle, play movie (jump to chapter and resume), set 3D mode, set GPR/variable. These actions are executed at step "1" (action [1]). In these modes all other actions are executed in the standard way, at step "2" (action [2]).
A script is executed in the standard way, but if you need to run it "before", add the comment:
// RUN_BEFORE
on the first line of the script. In this case the whole script is executed in the "before" block.

To set the actions of a button, select the button on the screen or in the Objects list, select the line of the required action in the Properties window and click the ">" button that appears on the right. You can set up the navigation between buttons as well as various other actions. Actions can be assigned to the OK button (the "Press ENTER" action) or to the directional buttons (left / right / up / down).
