Attention: only change these values if you know what you are doing. To understand how these settings work, we recommend enabling the Save generated script option.
The list in the caption of the group selects the dummy transition movie used when the title is switched in the Two/Three Titles modes. This helps to avoid visual glitches on some players. The movie is played first, and the title is switched while it is on the screen; the rest of the action is executed once the new title is up.
- Not used (the default) - the title is switched without a transition movie.
- AVC - the built-in AVC warm-up clip is used. This is the usual choice for a Blu-ray project.
- HEVC and HDR - the built-in HEVC clips are used. They only work if the disc type is Ultra HD.
- Custom - your own elementary stream is used; the three file fields of the group become available.
The file fields are only enabled for Custom:
- Video - the video stream of the transition movie. It is mandatory: the compilation stops if the file cannot be found.
- Dependent - the dependent (MVC) stream of the transition video, for 3D projects. Leave it empty otherwise.
- Audio - the audio stream of the transition movie. Leave it empty for a silent transition.
The transition movie cannot be combined with "Switch titles asynchronously" (see below) - both take care of the same switch, in different ways, so the compilation stops if you enable them together.
Show black box in transitions - covers the screen with an opaque black rectangle while the title is being switched in the Two/Three Titles and Quick Top Menu modes. The player keeps the last decoded frame of the old title on the video plane until a playlist starts presenting in the new one, so without the black box that frozen frame stays visible during the switch.
No (the default) - no black box is compiled into the disc at all.
Static - the box covers the screen in the segments that show no graphics anyway (the first run, the pre-cache before the end of a movie and the wait for the title switch). It is never switched on or off at run time, so it costs nothing to control, but it cannot hide the frozen frame in the segments where the menu itself is shown.
Dynamic - the box additionally covers the screen while the movie segment is on and is removed again as soon as the new playlist is really presenting. This is what hides the frozen frame after a Top Menu call and during an asynchronous title switch. The box is hidden by its size and not by its transparency, so a hidden box costs no drawing time.
The black box is not compiled for the Standard project type or for Simulate.
Playlist BDID starts from - the first BDID to use (the starting number of the mpls playlists, def: 1).
Disc binding - defines how the JAR behaves when the title changes or the disc is removed. Bound means that the JAR is unloaded from memory when this happens. The default is "Title bound, Disc bound". It applies to the Standard project type only. With several JARs we recommend using "Title bound, Disc bound" only; for any other value the compilation writes a warning to the Log window.
Graphic mode - sets the screen resolution of the graphics layer the menu is drawn on (def: 1920x1080). We recommend setting the graphic mode to the resolution of the movie. WARNING: for 3D projects always use 1920x1080.
Start menu playlist asynchronously - starts the playlist of the first menu in the background when the disc starts. Starting a playlist normally blocks the application until the player reports that the playback has begun, which can take up to 3 seconds and freezes the animation for that time. With this option the menu is shown as soon as the playlist is really presenting.
Switch titles asynchronously - does not wait for the player when a "Select ...
title" action switches the title in the Two/Three Titles
modes. The switch is only asked for, the menu is replaced by an empty screen (or by the black box, if
"Show black box in transitions" above is not set to "No"), and the application keeps running:
it checks on every command queue tick whether the new title
is up, and only then executes the rest of the action. Without this option the application waits for the player
instead, and everything is frozen while it does - no animation, no menu and no reaction to the remote control. If
the player does not switch the title within 10 seconds, the rest of the action is executed anyway.
It cannot be combined with a transition movie (see above), and Simulate always
switches the titles the usual way.
Use synchronized for NotifyListener - reads the values from the manager in NotifyListener inside a synchronized block.
Execute onSelect forcibly - executes OnSelect even when a button is selected from a script or by an action (for example when a menu is opened with a particular button selected).
Synchronization - determines when the graphics synchronization (the sync_display command) is called. It makes the engine wait until the graphics drawn so far are on the screen. The default is "Before play video".
