Menu playlist

Additional playitems in menu clip - the number of play items added to the menu playlist (def: 99). If you specify "0", no additional play items are added to the menu playlist. In that case only the intro play item (without the menu) is used for the intro, and you have to specify a loop point (the 3rd chapter) in the intro; otherwise the compilation stops with an error.

Seamless connection in menu playlist (on by default) - enables the "seamless connection" mode for the menu video, giving smoother transitions between the menu videos. The audio and video tracks have to have exactly the same length. We recommend using AC3 audio for the menu in this case.

Auto-trim AC3 audio tracks to video (only with a seamless connection) - adjusts the menu audio tracks to the length of the video by cropping the AC3 or E-AC3 (this is necessary to compile a menu with a seamless connection correctly). Other audio formats are not trimmed, and nothing is trimmed if there are no additional play items or if you mux with tsMuxeR.

Avoid black screen at the end of menu playlist (on by default) - adds an additional chapter at the end of the second-to-last play item and restarts the menu playlist at this chapter (using the Jump playmark command). It needs at least two additional play items, so enabling it raises "Additional playitems in menu clip" to 2 if it is lower.

Menu playlist end action - executed instead of looping the menu when the menu reaches its loop point. If it is empty, the menu loops.

Allow pause/play in menu playlist - by default the pause/play buttons are blocked in the main menu (the menu playlist masks the Pause user operation). This option enables them.

Single playlist (all menus in one playlist) - lets you combine all menu videos into a single playlist. This is useful if a menu has several videos. If you use intros, the intro is shown every time you switch to this menu from a menu with a different video, so we recommend using separate dummy menus for the intros. A single playlist needs "Avoid black screen at the end of menu playlist" and at least two additional play items: the compilation turns them on (and marks the project as modified) if they are not set.

Menu audio

Audio tracks in menu - the number of audio tracks in a menu. To reduce the delay caused by switching the audio track when going from a menu to a movie, you can set the number of audio tracks in the menu equal to the number of audio tracks in the movie and enable "Switch audio tracks..." below.

Switch audio tracks in menu before Play Movie action - switches the menu audio track to match the audio track of the movie before the movie starts playing.

Switch immediately - switches the audio in the menu immediately (otherwise it is switched when the movie starts).

Do not switch audio if already selected (PSR1) - when a movie starts, the audio track is switched to the required one without checking which track is actually selected. If you enable this option, the engine only switches the audio when the current track (PSR 1) differs from the required one.

Background images

Preload all background images on disc load - loads every image from the Background images list into the memory while the disc is loading, so showBackgroundImage displays them without a delay later. You do not need to call preloadBackgroundImage yourself in this case. The option does nothing if the project has no background images. Keep in mind that all the images stay in the memory until you release them with flushBackgroundImage or flushBackgroundImages - if the project has many or large images, this may be too much for some players, so preload them manually instead.

Please note that the "Image loaded" script is executed once for every image, so with this option enabled it is called as many times as you have background images, while the disc is loading. Use the predefined fileName variable to find out which image it was called for, and check that the script behaves correctly when it is called several times in a row.

Clear background when video scales back - clears the background plane each time a scaled video is returned to its full size, so that a background image shown next to the scaled video does not stay on the screen. With this option the video is also scaled back before the Top Menu is called, and the background is cleared (or a scaled video is scaled back) when the JAR is unloaded.
